Summer Appeal

End summer with a gift that goes twice as far!

Thanks to our generous partners at Gateway Business Intermediaries, all donations made to our summer appeal will be matched, up to a total of $35,000

With every dollar donated, we’re able to increase our impact on the thousands of Nova Scotians seeking food support each month. A matched donation is especially special – it means double the food we’re able to purchase, double the support for grassroots food programs and community-led solutions, and double the advocacy efforts and projects.

We partner with CanadaHelps, a registered Canadian charity, to provide the option for online donations. They process the donation and issue electronic tax receipts for eligible donations. Please note that the email with your income tax receipt will come from CanadaHelps, not Feed Nova Scotia.

Feed Nova Scotia and the network of members are located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq Peoples, and we acknowledge them as past, present, and future caretakers of this land. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which Mi’kmaq, Wəlastəkwiyik (Maliseet), and Passamaquoddy Peoples first signed with the British Crown in 1725. We are all Treaty people.

We acknowledge that African Nova Scotians have existed and persisted on the traditional land of the Mi’kmaq for more than 400 hundred years and their significant presence has contributed to the existence of Nova Scotia.

We are grateful to live and work in Mi’kma’ki.
