Event: Gordon Food Service- Halifax Show
Location: Halifax Exhibition Centre, 200 Prospect Rd, Goodwood, NS B3T 1P2

Volunteer Shift: 3:30-5:30 (approximate)
Event Description: The Gordon Food Service (GFS) show in Halifax is a foodservice trade show that showcases new products, technologies, and business solutions. The show is for people in the foodservice industry and is not open to the general public.
Volunteer Roles: Under direction from the Food Safety Manager and Gordon Food show staff, work with a team of volunteers to collect food donations from vendors at the end of the show. Ensure proper packing and loading into the Feed Nova Scotia truck for safe transport.
Must be able to pack and lift 15-20 kg boxes full of food.

The Great Halifax Clothing Swap seeks to provide an outlet for community members to express their love for clothing by connecting people through their mutual interest in fashion and the environment. The ultimate goal of the swap is to help individuals refresh their wardrobes affordably, encourage a culture of reuse, make the circular economy accessible to the community, and create a channel to efficiently donate clothing to local charities.
Volunteer Role: Volunteers will be helping with sorting of clothing donations as they are dropped off, and with stocking and tidying the swap tables.

Event Description: Bring Mom to Sunnyside Mall for a celebration! There will be a photo booth, bracelet making, and a caricature artist at this event.
Volunteer Role: Assisting with general tasks such as putting photos into picture frames and collecting food & monetary donations.
